GO-Biz Announces Statewide Tax Credit Workshops
Sacramento, Calif. – The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) announced it is holding a series of California Competes Tax Credit technical assistance workshops throughout the state.
The first application period for this fiscal year runs July 20 to August 17, 2015, with $75 million in tax credits available.

Several North State companies have successfully submitted applications for over $2.6 million in tax credits, including Graphic Packaging International, Roplast Industries, MetalWorks, Cascade Orthopedics, and Kleen Kanteen.

The California Competes Tax Credit was created by Governor Brown and is focused on helping businesses grow and stay in California. In the 2014-15 fiscal year, GO-Biz allocated approximately $150 million to 212 companies that are projected to create over 29,400 jobs and make over $7.1 billion in investments.
