is offering a spring semester course on the RBHS Campus.
Classes begin on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
Introduction to Welding
This Course is FREE, no charge for attending!!
This introductory course will provide hands-on experience plus classroom instruction to prepare adults (18+) for entry level welding employment with companies such as Lentac, Smith Ranches, Pneumatic Conveying Manufacturing, Waste Management, QRC, Sierra Pacific, Industrial Welding, Driscoll Strawberries, etc.
According to the Employment Development Department, the average wage for Welders in Northern California is $12-18 per hour.
Course Description: Introduction to weld positions in flat and horizontal, including welding safety, Oxy Acet Welding and curring (OAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), plasma arc cutting (PAC), air carbon arc curring and gouging (CAC-A) welding and cutting processes. Training also includes base metal, shielded metal arc welding electrodes, joint fit-up and alignment, groove welds with backing, and open V-groove welds. A certificate of completion will be available for students who meet all attendance and course requirements certificate of proficiency.

Register for this class NOW. A minimum enrollment of 15 registered students is needed. Early registration end on 1/10/217. Onsite registration may be available on 1/12/17.
