Manufacturing Expo October 2

Not all manufacturing is done overseas – meet Northern California Manufacturers Face to Face

WHAT: North State Grow Manufacturing Roundtable & Expo
WHEN: Thursday, October 2, 12:00-6:00

Manufacturers from Yuba City to the Oregon border will showcase their technology and products in Chico on the eve of National Manufacturing Day. Join us October 2 for the North State Grow Manufacturing Roundtable & Expo. You will be amazed about the companies you don’t know are in our backyard.

National Manufacturing Day is 10.03.14
California’s North State Day is 10.02.14

How often do you hear someone say, “Everything is manufactured overseas?” The Expo is designed to help dispel this manufacturing myth (along with several others) and improve community, business, elected official, teacher and student perceptions of the local manufacturing sector throughout the North State and its value to our economy.

Earlier this year the California Manufacturers &Technology Association recognized Ken Grossman of Sierra Nevada Brewery as one of 8 statewide Manufacturing Champions — a first for the North State! How many more champions do we have here who deserve recognition?

About National Manufacturing Day

National Manufacturing Day was started in 2012 with a goal of addressing the common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to showcase, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is – and what is being built and created in our own backyard. By working together during and after MFG Day, manufacturers are able to address the skilled labor shortage they face, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole sector.
